How to add gold luster to ceramics

Imagen
Here is how to add gold luster to ceramics. Granted, this tutorial is for anyone who works with fired ceramics and has access to a kiln. But if you are interested in the process, you can visit a local paint on pottery or ceramic studio and they will help guide you along through this process! Scroll down to the end of this post to see how to add gold to ceramics if you don’t have a kiln! I have been working with ceramics here in my studio for almost 15 years. I am always amazed at the different things that could be done with this art form. Adding gold to my finished pieces are…CHEF’s KISS! via GIPHY It’s a bit of a process because it takes an extra firing. And that little gold bottle is pretty spendy.  It’s worth it. I’ve barely dabbled in this technique, but there is lots of inspiration on Instagram! Here is a video I made showing a recent batch     A post shared by Kathy Cano-Murillo (@craftychica) Know your gol...

Receta auténtica de pan Povitica

Imagen

Imagen
This Pan de Agua recipe, which translates to “water bread” is a traditional Latin American bread that is fluffy, dense, and the easiest loaf of bread you will ever make! There is something cathartic about baking bread. If you want some of my other favorite bread recipes then you have to try my Easy Rustic Olive Bread, Savory Irish Soda Bread, and Honey and Herb Bread. When someone tells you they make their own bread, you might think “wow they must have nothing but time on their hands.” And in some cases that might be true, however, one thing I can assure you of, you have time to make this recipe. If you have never made bread before this is the PERFECT recipe to start with. It’s quick, easy, only uses four ingredients, and it’s likely that all four are already sitting in your pantry. So, buckle up because once you make this recipe, and taste how amazing fresh bread is compared to the store-bought kind, you will never want to go back. As I men...
